Tenser's Spellbook

This exquisitely bound tome once belonged to the wizard Tenser. His magics still infuse the old book and his musings fill the linings. The book functions as Tenser’s Disk when necessary and has many spells lost to time.

Spell list

Tenser’s Delivery Service (Ritual)
Casting Time – 1 Minute
Range – Unlimited
Components – VSM [a fine piece of paper, which the spell consumes]
Duration – Variable

You write a note on a piece of paper. Upon completion of the spell, the paper folds into the form of a bird and flies off in the direction of a creature you are familiar with. The bird flies up to 60 miles per hour and unfolds only in the presence of the designated creature. That creature may then write a response on the other side of the paper after which the paper folds again into the form of a bird and returns to you at the same speed.

You and the recipient may also enclose in the bird an item that weighs less than 2lbs and can fit inside the folded page.

If the creature is on a different plane of existence, the spell fails.

Wizard 1nd Level Conjuration

Tenser’s Staff of Power (Ritual)
Casting Time – 1 Minute
Range – Self
Components – VSM [pages of a spellbook]
Duration – 24 Hours

Choose a 2nd level or lower spell from your spellbook. The pages of the spell fly from your book and come together to form a mighty staff. While you hold this staff, you have the spell prepared and may cast it as a ritual. You may not cast the chosen spell at a higher level than its spell level.

When the duration of this spell ends, or if you cast it again before the spell ends, the staff returns to the pages of your spellbook.

Wizard 2nd Level Conjuration

Tenser’s Paper Army
Casting Time – 1 Action
Range – 30 ft
Components – VSM [pages of a spellbook]
Duration – up to 1 minute

You create a wall of paper warriors, each armed with paper swords and shields. The wall appears within range and lasts for the duration. You can make a straight wall up to 100 feet long, 6 feet high, and 1 inch thick, or a ringed wall up to 60 feet in diameter, 6 feet high, and 1 inch thick. The wall provides three-quarters cover to creatures behind it, and its space is difficult terrain.

When a creature enters the wall’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 5d6 slashing damage. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.
